I was a young mom of two when I was introduced to CrossFit. I remember realizing that I had plateaued in my goals to get fit and healthy by working out on my own. I told myself when I walked into Palm City CrossFit that “if they are family-friendly and have a space for my kids I would join then and there”, they did and I joined. Not only is Palm City CrossFit family-friendly, but the coaches and members have also become, for me, a whole new family. It is more to me now than just fitness or the “gym” it is a community, my community. I have accomplished things and gained skills that I never thought I could and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made over the years. If I can do it you can too.
I tell people all the time I have the best job in the world. I get to hang out with amazing people every day, help them in any way I can to accomplish their goals and have so much fun while doing it. It’s a privilege to be able to be a part of someone’s successes and to encourage them in their failures. I am motivated by the growth I see in each athlete, before they even recognize it in themselves, by the friendships that are developed in and out of the gym, and by the atmosphere that is created in the balance of hard work and fun.
